Virgo babies are excellent mimics and their ability to imitate shows almost from birth. Listen closely and you'll hear your little one cooing like the birds outside his bedroom window. They are almost as peaceful and calm as they are alert and quick.

They'll be a bit shy in crowds and be extremely particular about foods. Your Virgo baby may prefer carrots to cookies and will sternly let you know (with a smile) when he is not in the mood for peas, so no use in forcing the issue.

The Virgo child will be neat and orderly and they will have many particular habits, so don't invade his privacy, move his things or interrupt his processes, all of which are very important to him.

As long as you are not overly critical, Virgo children are usually quite agreeable and not prone to temper-tantrums. They'll put away their toys when asked and happily shadow mom in the kitchen, helping with the housework.

They usually talk earlier than other children and do so quite fluently but may suddenly turn mute in front of strangers. These kids do not seek the spotlight despite their natural ability as actors and suffer a bit of stage fright. Start a foreign-language program early and make sure that they have lots of books to read and educational toys to play with.

They deeply need lots of physical loving affection.

They'll never ask for it, but inside, it is hard for a Virgo child to see how interesting and unique he really is and so he will depend on you to nurture his early emotional experiences with lots of TLC. The Virgo ego can handle lots of attention and stroking without becoming inflated so don't hold back with the hugs, kisses and compliments.

In school, teacher's pet is often a September born child. They are serious with a pleasant disposition as well as efficient, responsible and they have a fondness for small chores. But stick to a routine with these children. When you upset his personal schedule, you upset the Virgo child. They like the truth, they whys and the facts and will always give a frank opinion without being rude to company.

Virgo is the perfectionist. They pay careful attention to detail, like to correct mistakes and aren't afraid to correct yours... in front of others. But do not scold or lecture a Virgo child in front of others as it can be destructive to their desire to learn.

This is important to their growth as they need stable, well rounded experiences/education to become successful in life. Destroying their intrinsic motivation to learn can turn them into shy, irritable people who are painfully embarrassed by their inadequacies.

Teasing can also cause them to become cranky and withdrawn so please, do not tease your Virgo teen about love and romance. Close relationships do not come easy to them and making fun of them at this tender time is harmful to their future ability to maintain warm, loving relationships.

Worry and stress can make a Virgo child physically sick so protect them from critical remarks. Also be aware of your own stress as your Virgo child will pick up on your thoughts and worries.

Virgo kids have an excellent sense of responsibility and so give them an allowance when still young and expect him to manage it carefully. They would also do well with a small pet as it will teach them the lessons of love. You can expect your Virgo to sincerely try in school and always be willing to help out someone in need.
